I was so excited when the FedEx guy showed up this morning — I knew my very first wedding album I’ve ever done was coming in today. I had seen this style of album several times in the past couple of years and was always wowed by them, so I knew once I decided to offer albums I was going to carry this product. It was like opening up a Christmas present — I was excited to see this beautiful product with OUR work, OUR clients in it!
Its a gorgeous, well put together album that I am proud to offer my clients. Here are a couple of photographs of the book all wrapped up in its ‘green’ packaging – recycled pineapple leaf handmade paper with a handmade paper ribbon from recycled mulberry leaves. It is beautiful, don’t you think? I’m so excited to receive this year’s wedding albums!

On Friday Murl and I squeezed in some engagement portrait fun with Mike and Amy. We were so fortunate that the rain stopped falling minutes before they arrived for their shoot. We headed out to Quincy Cellars in Ripley in hopes of shooting in their gorgeous remodeled barn. [We are still waiting to shoot a wedding there, I hope it happens soon!] Unfortunately they were closed BUT they have a massive weeping willow tree out front by their pond so we put that to use! Lucky for us Amy has been keeping up on her America’s Next Top Model and we didn’t need to worry about posing her Seriously, how cute are these two?!
Next stop was to Paschke’s mum farm where we found some pumpkins and hay to play on as well.
We ended the night at a beautiful lookout on Lake Erie where Mike had proposed to Amy in the spring. The vineyards are just so gorgeous in the fall! And with the moody skies, it turned out to be a gorgeous night for their session after all! As always check the facebook page for more images from their session, they will be up shortly!

Murl and I photographed on Presque Isle Wednesday night for the first time and it was gorgeous — off topic: I’m all sorts of pumped for the Labor Day 2010 wedding on the beach now! Katie and Matt spend a lot of time at Presque Isle so it was important to them that their e-session take place there and we are always up for anything so off to the beach we went.
I can’t say it enough, but we have *the* coolest couples. I guess our whole ‘are we compatible?’ meetings are proving to be successful because they are all truly wonderful. I think we got along so well with Katie and Matt because they are a bit silly like us They were like old pro’s as we moved from spot to spot and explained what we wanted them to do. We got there a bit before sunset and got a lot of great images, I’m going to share just a few with you here, and as usual, more on the Facebook fanpage!

Murl and I had the pleasure of photographing Cindy and Kevin’s wedding ceremony and reception right here in North East over Labor Day weekend. They are such a fun couple as you can see in their engagement portraits. I had a super busy Labor Day weekend – two engagement sessions and two weddings. I don’t usually take on more than one wedding per weekend but this was a special case.
I’m going to kick off the blog posts with Jen and Scott. I am photographing their wedding next month! They were so adorable during their shoot. The connection between them is so sweet, I love couples who don’t have to be told to cuddle or kiss – it makes my job easier Here are a few of my favorites from their session. Alright so I’ve been doing some serious slacking on the blog. I’ve got two excuses, one that I am happy about the other that I’m not. First of all I am so incredibly busy and I’d like to thank all of my wonderful clients for keeping me so busy! On the other hand, ever since having troubles with my blog its just not as easy to post photos, hopefully that lame excuse will be all fixed up soon – I’m working on it!! EDIT: I think its all fixed
Alright, enough about me — on to Emily with the gorgeous blue eyes! Emily met up with me last night and we went down to Lake Erie where I photographed her senior portraits. Her mom did an excellent job holding the reflector

The other night we met up with Kim and Dusty at their beautiful home here in town and had a fun family portrait session. I’ve known Dusty for decades [ wow, we are getting old! ] and I met his wife Kim when we were all fairly young so it was nice to shoot and hang out with the two of them and their two poodles Bella and Hunter. Bella is a natural poser while Hunter took some work to get him to pay attention but he is cute even if he is looking off into the distance Here are a couple of my favorites from their session, you can find a few more on the HNP facebook page.

This is Tori, my gorgeous cousin, who is going to be a senior this year! My does time fly. She was trooper and weathered the hot hot heat and humidity last night and we got some really great portraits. I love each of these but I absolutely adore that last shot!
