Last week I was asked to photograph a couple of local business owners and a local businessman. I love working with other professionals in the area!

First up — the girls at Mary’s Select Foods and Fresh Picked located at 22 South Lake Street [ across the street from me! ]. They were looking for a professional portrait of their staff that they could use for their website and I was told Mary only agreed to do the portrait if I shot it and made them ‘look really good, like { I } always do’ Sweet, that’s a good reputation to have!

Mary’s Select Foods is a great little shop full of all natural foods and organic options. It is also the home of Katie Rowan’s restaurant Fresh Picked, a fantastic and tasty vegetarian option in North East.

Later that afternoon Jon Cullen came into the studio for some head shots for work. Jon is in the technology and education field and works for a company in Erie, PA. Here are a couple of his portraits:

Meet Mary Poston | Simply Unique Weddings & Events

Mary stopped down to the studio today for a quick business headshot session. She just happened to be wearing an outfit that looked fantastic in the gallery so we used that for the backdrop! She is just getting her new wedding and event planning business up and running and it sounds like she is doing awesome with it! Simply Unique Weddings & Events is based in Erie but is composing a nationwide team to serve people all across the country or for those wishing to have destination weddings in other parts of the US. Her information will be on the sidebar in the wedding vendors list so you can easily access her site.

Congratulations to Erie Junior Philharmonic Competition Winner Chelsea Nelson!

Chelsea is this year’s winner of the Erie Junior Philharmonic’s Concerto Competition and she came in last week for a portrait session. Off topic, but I think its fun — Chelsea’s mom, Joellen, was my first client at my studio on Main St. and her daughter was my second client at my second studio here on Lake Street — I appreciate you coming to see me again!

Back on topic: Chelsea will be playing the first Movement of Mozart’s horn concerto at the Junior Philharmonic’s spring concert on April 19th at the Fairview Middle School. She is a very talented girl — she’s going to go far! Great job, girl

Billboard Photograph

For the past month or more there has been a billboard up by Stetson’s Hardware of Leigh Ann Orton advertising her services as a realtor for Coldwell Banker. I finally took a moment to stop and take a picture of it. You might be thinking, why would I do that? To that I’d reply that I photographed her business portrait for her and that is the biggest I’ve seen one of my images…so basically, I just thought it was pretty cool That and to let everyone know that I do photograph business and artist’s portraits for public relations articles, business cards, websites and whatever else you may need.

Rachel + Ian’s outdoor portraits | Clymer, NY

I thought it was such a great idea when Rachel and Ian came to me looking for some portraits they could give to people for Christmas gifts. Pictures are definitely one of the most personal gifts you can give someone! Who doesn’t love displaying portraits of their loved ones?

Yesterday the three of us drove out onto some back roads in Clymer, NY for an outdoor portrait session. We had a beautiful blue sky and a few remnants of autumn color at a couple of the locations. Here are some of my favorites:
