Happy Spring! Some Flower Photography

Yay, it finally feels like Spring is really here! The sun is shining and I didn’t need to wear a coat as I walked to work today. Spring is a time for growth and all things new and I’m embracing the season — the blog and website will have a whole new look very soon! You can find hints of the new look right in these images down below!

Last week my mom brought some flowers to the studio for me and I had to photograph them, they were just so beautiful, and it made me realize I really LIKE photographing flowers :)   Anyone with a beautiful garden or flower shop? I’d love to do some photography for you!

Another Wedding Announcement

Wedding Photography Special Offer

We have some exciting news for any of you May 2009 brides who are still looking for a photographer — Our weekends in April are entirely filled up, but we have had several weekends open up in May and are available to photograph weddings now on May 2nd, May 23rd and May 30th 2009. We are also available for Friday evening weddings on some of these particular weekends and one of the Sundays. If you haven’t secured a photographer for any of these dates we are offering a special that starts at $995 and includes digital files! What we’ve been up to!!

Wow…we’ve been insanely busy here at HNP. We’ve been doing a lot of shooting, networking, working around the studio aaaaand there are lots of exciting changes in the works! I’ll keep you up to speed if you check back soon :)

Since Baby Idol we’ve done a couple of model portfolio sessions, a trash the dress session at Waldameer Park in Erie PA, a quick portrait session with the Star104 DJs and lots of shoots in between. In the next 3 or 4 days I’ll be posting a couple of pictures of a few of the sessions.

I also joined Erie Wedding Professionals — its a fantastic group of talented people in the wedding business. I also have a photograph featured on My Erie Wedding! Okay there is just a ton of stuff that I’m excited about right now!! Lots, lots, lots more to come in the near future.

Oh and we’ve got a Heather Neckers Photography facebook page up now — come fan us!! For now I’ll leave you with a photo from the Waldameer Trash the Dress session! Got a Cute Kid? — Star 104’s Baby Idol | Erie PA

So I’m finally getting around to posting about your exciting opportunity! Star 104 is hosting its Baby Idol again this year and your favorite photographer [ that is me, right?! ] is photographing the portraits. Baby Idol is a beautiful baby competition where you and your child can win $500 for Babies R Us! There is an open casting call where I will be photographing 30 babies [ 18 months and under ] next Saturday, March 14th from 11am until 1pm here at the studio. Urban XpERIEnce is Available

I have some fun news to share with you — remember that photo shoot for Urban XpERIEnce magazine I photographed? Well its been published and is ready to read. You can see some of our images in the article about 12 o’ One Restaurant and Wine Bar. If you haven’t already picked up a copy yet, you can grab one at several distribution centers, including right here at the HNP studio at 33 South Lake Street! Getting married today!

Some exciting [ delicious even ] news!

I’m so excited to inform you all that my studio is moving! And with the new ‘home’ – a new look! And here comes the delicious part — the new studio is going to be right next to [ drum roll, please -- ] The Cocoa Tree on South Lake Street!! I’m ecstatic! I can’t wait to be right downtown where all the action is :)   I’m already fantasizing about walking across the street for lunch at the Boston Bean and then hitting The Cocoa Tree for some truffles on my way back to the studio! Mmm, this can’t be good for me…

I want to end this post by saying that I’ve had a great two years here in the Haines Printing building, where they have been absolutely amazing [ saving the day on more than one occasion ]. But I am ready for more space, and to unveil a new look for HNP, and be within walking distance of so many great businesses. More information to come throughout the winter. The new location should be open sometime around March.

Urban XpERIEnce Magazine Photoshoot | Erie, PA

Well I am snowed in at home and going nowhere today so I thought I’d take a moment to update you about a photo shoot I had on Wednesday. A new magazine about Erie happenings is coming on the market, Urban XpERIEnce will be coming out mid-January. Its going to cover lots of great topics ranging from fine dining to art & culture in the area. Its much more than just a magazine though, there is going to be a fantastic online experience for users as well. I’m really excited about what they have in store for everyone.

Anyway, we decided to shoot the cover shot at Twelve O’ One Restaurant and Wine Bar, it made a great backdrop for the cover idea. Check out the images in the first issue of Urban XpERIEnce. Thanks to JB for letting us photograph there, I can’t wait to go back and have dinner soon!
