Back from Vancouver!

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

I’ve finally returned from Vancouver, BC and I’m all sorts of excited to put to use everything I learned while there. There should be plenty of changes coming this way and I look forward to sharing everything with you as things progress. The Bebbs were a total inspiration, both professionally and personally, and I met a group of fabulous photographers while there as well. There were photographers from the States, Canada, Mexico and even Ireland, it was a fun mix of people! Here are a couple of images taken during a photo session at the Bebbinar:

We stayed an extra day to take in Vancouver and while we were at it Murl and I were photographed by some amazing up and coming photographers Ral & Danelle of Rad Studios in Vancouver. Their work is so different than anything you would see around here, I urge you to check them out – total eye candy! And you can peek at a few of our portraits when you visit their blog. I will post a few on here in the next couple of days to share with you as well. Coming up next on the blog: A model session which includes a bathing suit on the beach in February! Totally fun, I promise :)  Check back soon!  xoxo | Heather

A Hodgepodge of Stuff

Friday, January 4th, 2008

First of all, Happy New Year! Secondly, I’m writing with lots of news.

To start with…Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and I just wanted to remind you all what a great gift a book of intimate portraits can be! If you’d like to take a peek and see what its all about, I will have a book for you to check out here in the studio. How about a steamy couple’s session? or what about a freezing cold fun session for two in the snow? There are lots of options and a variety of products to present your special someone with this February 14th.

I also wanted to let you know that I am headed for sunshine and warmer climates next week. I will be out of town from Wednesday January 9th-15th. I will still be able to check my email and communicate with you that way. Murl will probably be in a bit to keep things on track at the studio. For those of you who have orders coming in, I will call you as soon as I’m back to work on the 16th.

And another announcement – we are headed to Vancouver for the last week of February. Murl will be off skiing at Whistler while I am attending an amazing photography workshop hosted by The Bebbs [ who were ranked in the top ten wedding photographers on the planet by American Photo! ] I am so excited and there are going to be a lot of changes at HNP after this seminar!! I look forward to sharing more about this with you upon my return.

And, just because, here is a photograph :)

Huge news!

So I guess its my turn now — Murl asked me to marry him last Saturday!! Wow…where to begin?? All my past and current brides – any suggestions? vendor recommendations? Its so different being on the consumer side of things. I’m really excited for this new step in our lives. I look forward to going through the process that you all have been through/are going through! Alright thats all for now, I’ve run out of time to post.

Next up: Some photos from my nephews Christmas session. Look for it sometime tomorrow or Friday!

Images of New England

Thursday, September 27th, 2007

Here are the images Murl and I made from our trip last week. The first picture is of the whole group that went on the “3L” tour — Leaves, Lighthouses and Lobsters Tour. We had such a great time!

Here is a shot of everyone’s cars. This was taken on the last day of the trip in York, ME by the Nubble Lighthouse…its that tiny thing sticking up in the background, if you can see that.

Here are the signs we were chasing down everywhere — this one was on Hurricane Mountain Rd. in New Hampshire, I think. Needless to say, we broke the recommended speed limit, it was such an amazing ride down that road!

Next up, a couple shots of the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse. It was such a gorgeous day!

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up — I will be out of the studio for the rest of the week and won’t be back until next Wednesday. Murl and I are headed to Maine with my parents and some of their friends. I will definitely return with some photographs to share! The next chance I get I have some portraits to post that are oh so adorable, check back soon!

Headed to Boston

Wednesday, August 1st, 2007

Just a heads up – I am heading to Boston tomorrow morning and will be gone through Sunday so the studio will be closed until Monday. I am planning on posting some sneak peeks of the wedding from last Saturday before I go and I’ll have some portraits from Will’s session on the blog when I get back! And hopefully some shots from my trip as well.

Happy August!

Last Weekend

Thursday, May 17th, 2007

Last weekend was full of fun photo shoots and yummy food! Here is a collage from a photo session on Saturday with Heather, the 2006-07 Spartansburg Fair Queen. This is my second portrait session with her and as always, it was such a fun shoot! Thanks again for choosing me as your photographer!

On Friday night Murl and I checked out the new restaurant in town, Five French Fusion, next to the Presque Isle Winery. Its a wonderful place. The service was great, the atmosphere is perfect and the food is fantastic. We had such a good time and are so excited to have a fine dining option here in town. You all should check it out if you get a chance.

New Addition!

So Murl and I recently acquired a new family member!

His name is Montana and he’s a shepherd mix. We found him at the Warren Humane Society a couple weeks ago and we think he’s just perfect! The cats, however, are NOT so impressed, but I think they’ll come around. I’m wondering if I’ll ever be able to get a whole ‘family’ portrait!
