A few weeks back Murl and I met with Raquel and Brian to photograph some downtown Erie engagement portraits. It was so much fun we decided we need to shoot in Erie more often! These two are so in love – I love the intense looks they share, so hot! Raquel and Brian are getting married next year and I’m honored to be photographing their special day. Over the Christmas weekend we got together with Ryan and Amanda for their e-session at the Peak. We will be photographing their wedding at Peek’n Peak this summer so we thought that would be a great location for their photo shoot. We were expecting a lot more snow but we worked with what God gave us and I think they turned out great regardless! You be the judge

On another topic — Sorry I’ve been extra bad at blogging!! Life’s been busy trying to plan this wedding, but it will be over at the end of the month and I’ll get back to sharing photos with you all! Next up on the blog: the Bensink Family portrait session!

Last Monday I got a pleasant surprise…one of my 2008 couple’s came in for the engagement session and they were so much fun! Nothing stiff, just playful. Mark’s eyes lit up when he saw the horse while Melissa mentioned that she didn’t like the normal ‘we’re getting maaaarried’ straight on poses so we came up with some interesting stuff! I love the storyboard of them on the fainting chair — it goes with their Old Hollywood themed wedding coming up.

Over the weekend I had the privilege of photographing a very newly engaged couple. Karl had proposed to Nicole Saturday night at the bottom of the hill at Peek’n Peak. I met up with them on Sunday afternoon to shoot their engagement portraits. They were such a cute and happy couple it was easy to get some good shots. It was such a gorgeous day even though it was so blustery. The trees were heavy with snow and it kept falling throughout the shoot, making for some really pretty portraits!

On Monday night we had one of the most fun engagement sessions! Our October wedding couple came out to North East to play a bit. We started out at Mercyhurst North East and then Allison and Danny donned some NFL jerseys and we were off to the football field. I love that they don’t cheer for the same team, so much more fun! I also love getting the opportunity to know the bride and groom better before their wedding. Its very beneficial to both us as photographers and the couple to get more comfortable with each other. Danny and Allison are such a great couple, I can’t wait for their wedding!

Last Saturday night we headed over to Mercyhurst North East to meet up with Paula and Gary for their engagement session. It was so much fun, they were one of those couples where you can see how much they love each other and are just playful and happy to be around each other…i.e. easy to photograph! It didn’t hurt that they were such big Earnhardt fans, either! After shooting at MNE for a bit we headed over to their amazing place on the lake where we could really incorporate their true personalities. Here’s a set of images from their shoot. The last one is so close to being my favorite, I think it says a lot about who they are. Hope you enjoy!
