Some Super Cute Easter Portraits

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

As promised — some wicked adorable portraits. These two came in last week for a quick Easter session.

We got some really cute shots of the two of them together. Here is another:

But then Lexy seemed to take over the shoot while big brother would rather play his Nintendo DS! She looked so darn sweet I had to grab a bunch of shots. Here are a couple of my favorites!

As always — thanks for bringing them in Amy! I always get such cute images of your kids!

April Vixen Marathon

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

Alright ladies, who is ready for their Vixen Session? For those of you that haven’t heard of them in the past here’s what its all about:

You come in and get your hair and makeup done, sip some wine and get some seriously gorgeous portraits of yourself to share with the man in your life or just for yourself so you can see what a hottie you truly are! The images can be combined into a book or you can have some loose prints to do what you’d like with them. The more girls we get the more cost effective the whole shoot is, so grab your girlfriends and schedule your appointments back to back!

We’ve got one coming up April 13th at the Grape Arbor Bed & Breakfast. Sessions will begin at 1pm and will go as late as we need them to. With wedding season coming up, now is the perfect time to get your portraits made to give to your fiance as a surprising wedding gift! Father’s day is coming up as well, and what hubby wouldn’t want some tasteful portraits of the love his life?!

Go on girls - surprise the man in your life, it’ll be a huge self esteem kick! You can be as reserved or as daring as you’d like. No one will be present but Heather and you, and if you are comfortable - a woman assistant. Email me and let me know you want in on this - you won’t regret it! I do want to add that no one will see these images besides you and your man!

Can you help me?

To all you married people out there, and also to those of you that are engaged — where did/do you find vendor information? I’m curious where you all go to find your florist, your dj, and on and on. Are you going based on referrals from friends? Are there some good online communities? I’ve been looking around trying to find vendors for my wedding and I’m not coming up with too many leads. Please post some links in the comments section or email me if you’d rather. I would love to hear from you! Depending on how many responses I get, there may be a prize involved!

PS - I found *the* dress! Life is good :)

Our “E-Session” in Vancouver

Tuesday, March 11th, 2008

So I’m finally getting around to posting our impromptu session with Danelle and Ral of RAD Studio in Vancouver. I’m kind of posting a bunch, I just think they are so fun - I hope you enjoy them as well!

We were just traipsing around Vancouver taking in the sights and they showed us a few locations where the Bebb’s make the magic happen and we ended up doing a mini-shoot before the sun went down. It was so much fun and ended up being a learning experience at the same time. I picked up a few directional ideas that I’m planning to put to use - oh and I’m definitely going to embrace shooting into the sun! Thanks guys, we love these images - you truly do rock ;)! Thanks for being an open book!

Katie’s Modeling Session

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

Katie came to me a few weeks ago looking to put a mini portfolio together for her to distribute at an upcoming event and I just wanted to share some of the images with you all. Katie was a trooper and the pictures at the beach turned out great in spite of the freezing temperature.

I can’t wait to see you in magazines! | Heather

Back from Vancouver!

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

I’ve finally returned from Vancouver, BC and I’m all sorts of excited to put to use everything I learned while there. There should be plenty of changes coming this way and I look forward to sharing everything with you as things progress. The Bebbs were a total inspiration, both professionally and personally, and I met a group of fabulous photographers while there as well. There were photographers from the States, Canada, Mexico and even Ireland, it was a fun mix of people! Here are a couple of images taken during a photo session at the Bebbinar:

We stayed an extra day to take in Vancouver and while we were at it Murl and I were photographed by some amazing up and coming photographers Ral & Danelle of Rad Studios in Vancouver. Their work is so different than anything you would see around here, I urge you to check them out - total eye candy! And you can peek at a few of our portraits when you visit their blog. I will post a few on here in the next couple of days to share with you as well. Coming up next on the blog: A model session which includes a bathing suit on the beach in February! Totally fun, I promise :)  Check back soon!  xoxo | Heather
