Mark & Melissa’s E-Session

Monday, February 18th, 2008

Last Monday I got a pleasant surprise…one of my 2008 couple’s came in for the engagement session and they were so much fun! Nothing stiff, just playful. Mark’s eyes lit up when he saw the horse while Melissa mentioned that she didn’t like the normal ‘we’re getting maaaarried’ straight on poses so we came up with some interesting stuff! I love the storyboard of them on the fainting chair — it goes with their Old Hollywood themed wedding coming up.
Now for your viewing pleasure:

I can’t wait to photograph your wedding at the Warner Theatre, it is going to be so beautiful, and I’m sure you all will be looking fierce!! lol Thanks for a session full of laughs! <3 Heather

E-Session at the Peak

Tuesday, February 12th, 2008

Over the weekend I had the privilege of photographing a very newly engaged couple. Karl had proposed to Nicole Saturday night at the bottom of the hill at Peek’n Peak. I met up with them on Sunday afternoon to shoot their engagement portraits. They were such a cute and happy couple it was easy to get some good shots. It was such a gorgeous day even though it was so blustery. The trees were heavy with snow and it kept falling throughout the shoot, making for some really pretty portraits!

Here are some of my favorite images from their session:

Karl & Nicole — It was so nice meeting you both and again, Congratulations on your engagement! I hope you have a fabulous Florida wedding!
Wishing you a wonderfully happy life together | Heather

Jaden’s Birthday Portraits

Monday, February 4th, 2008

Over the weekend an old high school friend [ who I haven’t seen in about 8 years!!! ] brought her son Jaden in for his first birthday portraits. He was such a good little guy and we got a chance to photograph him in a bunch of outfits and include lots of hobbies that he and his parents share. He may have been a little bit fussy throughout the shoot but as soon as we put a wrench in his hand that kid was as incredibly happy as could be. It was adorable and we got some good images in his ‘construction jacket’ with the wrench. Here is a small collection of shots from his session:

Jen - it was great to see you and meet Jaden! I’m so glad you decided to bring him in!

Valentine’s Cards

Monday, February 4th, 2008

I wanted to share with you a new product we are working on here at HNP. My designer and I came up with a couple cards so far but are working on several more specific for Valentine’s day. Here are two of them now:

Cards can be created for any reason at all, holidays, birthdays, engagement or birth announcements, invitations, save the dates or even just thinking of you cards. There are thousands of reasons to send a card, what kind of card do you want to send?

Up next on the blog — a few images from one of Saturday’s First Birthday sessions! Look for it later today or tomorrow.
