On Saturday I got to second shoot a wedding for the first time with Rachel Lusky of Puremotif Photography and Design. It was also my first time shooting a Girard wedding - the church was beautiful and really easy to shoot in even for a no flash allowed ceremony. It was such a great experience; I got to see how Rachel worked, I got to photograph from Murl’s usual view point, and I got to do the job I love with a friend I love!

It was a pretty cool opportunity for Joe and Priscilla to have two amazing photographers capture their wedding! They commented on how much fun we were to work with but *they* were fun to work with! I mean, who breaks out M-16s [ I think that is the right name! ] for their formal portraits!? It was great! This couple is so in love and so full of humor - as was the whole wedding party. Thanks to everyone for such a wonderful time!

I recently got in a proofbook for one of my senior portrait clients and took a few snaps of the book so that I could show you all :)  I think they are pretty awesome and are a great way to get all of your images from a session or wedding and they also make a great gift, in this case he is giving this book away as a thank you gift after graduation to someone who made a huge impact on his life. Pretty cool!

On Saturday afternoon we met up with Mike and Kathy for a portrait session a couple of hours before their wedding ceremony. The weather couldn’t have been better and we got some amazing portraits! Having your portrait session prior to your wedding is the perfect idea because then you don’t stop the festivities in the middle of your big day and leave your guests waiting for you. Murl and I did this and it worked out fantastically and we got wonderful images because we weren’t pressed for time.

Kathy wore such an amazing gown and looked absolutely gorgeous! They both looked great and did so well in front of the camera — it was hard to get it down to five photographs for the blog!

Congratulations to you both, thanks so much for hiring us for your portraits on your special day!! And thank you so much for being open to anything we suggested - your portraits turned out even better by trusting us!

The Giveaway starts today and will be ongoing for anyone who books us through midnight on March 31st, 2010. The winners will be announced on Thursday, April 1st, 2010. We have some exciting news for any of you May 2009 brides who are still looking for a photographer — Our weekends in April are entirely filled up, but we have had several weekends open up in May and are available to photograph weddings now on May 2nd, May 23rd and May 30th 2009. We are also available for Friday evening weddings on some of these particular weekends and one of the Sundays. The week before our wedding we photographed Chuck and Carla’s wedding ceremony and reception at the Ambassador Conference Center in Erie, PA.
