Well I am snowed in at home and going nowhere today so I thought I’d take a moment to update you about a photo shoot I had on Wednesday. A new magazine about Erie happenings is coming on the market, Urban XpERIEnce will be coming out mid-January. Its going to cover lots of great topics ranging from fine dining to art & culture in the area. Its much more than just a magazine though, there is going to be a fantastic online experience for users as well. I’m really excited about what they have in store for everyone.

Anyway, we decided to shoot the cover shot at Twelve O’ One Restaurant and Wine Bar, it made a great backdrop for the cover idea. Check out the images in the first issue of Urban XpERIEnce. Thanks to JB for letting us photograph there, I can’t wait to go back and have dinner soon!

For the past month or more there has been a billboard up by Stetson’s Hardware of Leigh Ann Orton advertising her services as a realtor for Coldwell Banker. I finally took a moment to stop and take a picture of it. You might be thinking, why would I do that? To that I’d reply that I photographed her business portrait for her and that is the biggest I’ve seen one of my images…so basically, I just thought it was pretty cool That and to let everyone know that I do photograph business and artist’s portraits for public relations articles, business cards, websites and whatever else you may need.

Sorry I’ve been slacking on the posting here, I’ve been swamped with lots of fun photo shoots! I’m off for vacation this week but when I get back expect lots of pictures on here from all the different sessions I haven’t gotten to post yet.

I recently did some photo retouching for Cindy at the Flower Cart and wanted to share that with you all. Retouching old photographs is such an amazing job for me. I love to make cherished old beat up photos look new again. So I haven’t been able to post what I’ve been shooting much lately since I’ve been doing so many model shoots and Vixen Sessions. I’m excited to announce that my boudoir business is really taking off and that I’ve decided to create a website dedicated to it, thereby keeping this site strictly G-Rated! I will post a link to the new site and blog as soon as its up and running.

I’ll end this with an image from yesterday’s session with Erin. This shot was a little special promo for her boyfriend’s business, Phantom Graphics. She wanted a commercial style shot for him to hang up at the garage! Look for more Erin pictures on the new site!

I was rereading a few of my recent blog posts and came across the one where I asked people to submit ideas for wedding blogs, communities, etc. Well I came across a really cool one that has been started by a local bride-to-be. She focuses on Erie area wedding vendors. There are some reviews about local businesses and great content like tips, news and suggestions. There are also lots of helpful links to wedding professionals in the area. So any of you that are engaged or are planning on becoming engaged check out Little Details, it could be very beneficial in your planning! And for any of you that are already married you can share insight from your big day with the ladies at Little Details, I’d love to hear about the good, bad and ugly from your wedding [[ hopefully there is only good, but I hear at least one thing is likely to go wrong at every wedding ]] And for any of you vendors that aren’t already listed on her blog, drop her an email or a comment and she’ll get you listed. All of the original Vixen spots have been filled up for a little while now but I had a girl ask me to please fit her in so I decided to open up a couple more slots just in case there is someone else out there in the same position as her. I’m writing to let you all know that I have had to cancel a trip to a friends wedding in August and now both the 8th and 9th are open for business. If you are getting married on either of these dates, please get in touch with me soon! I can only book one of the dates and its a first come first served basis.

Alright ladies, who is ready for their Vixen Session? For those of you that haven’t heard of them in the past here’s what its all about:

You come in and get your hair and makeup done, sip some wine and get some seriously gorgeous portraits of yourself to share with the man in your life or just for yourself so you can see what a hottie you truly are! The images can be combined into a book or you can have some loose prints to do what you’d like with them. The more girls we get the more cost effective the whole shoot is, so grab your girlfriends and schedule your appointments back to back!

We’ve got one coming up April 13th at the Grape Arbor Bed & Breakfast. Sessions will begin at 1pm and will go as late as we need them to. With wedding season coming up, now is the perfect time to get your portraits made to give to your fiance as a surprising wedding gift! Father’s day is coming up as well, and what hubby wouldn’t want some tasteful portraits of the love his life?!

Go on girls - surprise the man in your life, it’ll be a huge self esteem kick! You can be as reserved or as daring as you’d like. No one will be present but Heather and you, and if you are comfortable - a woman assistant. Email me and let me know you want in on this - you won’t regret it!
