More Winter Engagement Portrait Sessions! | Jamestown NY Wedding Photographer

On Saturday we had the fun “job” of photographing two different engaged couples. Thanks to Heather & Nate and Kelley & Mike for braving the cold and getting some great portraits :)

Here are just a couple of quick images to hold you over until I can post a few more in the next week or so. Also — Murl and I are headed for California this week and will be out all next week. Amy + J.R.’s wintry Engagement Session

When we got together with Amy and J.R. for their engagement session we did a somewhat unique take on the usual shoot. It was so cold that day that we did a few mini-shoots here and there so that their noses didn’t turn red and our fingers could still operate the cameras :)   I was all bundled up, wearing my ski pants! It was fun and a bit of a challenge to work as fast as we could. They did a great job and were so easy to photograph. Murl and I are so stoked for the wedding — I know its going to be fun, full of style and at least 40 degrees warmer with lots of time to play!

2010 Wedding Schedule

January 29th, 2010

I’ve been fielding a lot of emails this week about dates that I am already booked for so I want to share with you dates that we do still have available.

Before stating our current open dates I want to share with you someplace I recently stumbled across. I found a pamphlet for the most beautiful location for holding a wedding — The Buhl Mansion in Sharon, PA. Can I just say if you have your wedding at the Buhl Mansion can I please be your photographer?! Pretty please? It looks so insanely beautiful! :)

Okay on with open dates…

We have quite a few open dates from now through June and in November and December. As for the regular wedding season we have five dates open:

June 5th

July 3rd or 10th [ whichever fills up first will knock out both weekends on this one ]

September 11th and 18th

October 16th.

If any of these are your wedding date and you are still looking for a wedding photographer give us a call! Our packages start at $1,495.

Peek ‘n Peak Winter Wedding | Findley Lake NY

A couple of weeks ago we had a very busy Saturday, we had a booth at the Ambassador’s bridal show and also a wedding at Peek ‘n Peak with Cheryl and Larry. It was a great day and Cheryl and Larry are a wonderful couple to kick off our 2010 wedding season!

I’m glad to finally be able to share some of their images with you — I have had a couple of weeks of crazy technical difficulties! I’m still unable to use my regular computer but luckily received a laptop for Christmas!! The timing couldn’t have been more perfect. Anyway — on with the photographs! :)

This was the first time we have photographed a ceremony at the Inn at Peek’n Peak and it was great shooting there with the big bank of windows letting in so much light during the ceremony!

Newborn Twins | Erie baby photographer

A few weeks ago I received a phone call asking if I photographed newborn babies. I was so excited because YES, yes I do photograph newborns! I would say they are my favorite thing to photograph next to weddings and engagement sessions. What was even better was that she had twins. I’d never photographed newborn twins before and it was both a challenge and twice the fun. Thanks to Scot & Emily for having me come over and capture your sweet little girls!

Craig + Mandi | Winter Engagement Session | North East PA

January 14th, 2010

A couple weekends ago Craig, Mandi, Murl and I braved the below freezing temperatures to go outside and do some engagement portraits. Before heading out to the numb lips, frozen cheeks and red noses tundra that we get along the shore of Lake Erie, we met up at the local bookstore The Last Wordsmith to get some portraits in one of their favorite places in the area. After a quick session there we ran over to The Boston Bean to put their wonderful brick wall and nice window light to good use. It was a fun shoot and I love the challenge of shooting in conditions many people don’t want to be out in.

Welcome to 2010 at Heather Neckers Photography!

Whew, so the last few months of 2009 were crazy busy and I totally slacked at keeping you informed of shoots we’d photographed and all the fun going on at Heather Neckers Photography. Its a new year and I’ve got a new resolution — to blog more.

To kick it off I’m just going to say a huge thank you to all of my previous clients from last year and to those that have been around for many more years, I truly appreciate you trusting us to capture your weddings, family portraits, newborn portraits and senior sessions! I also appreciate all the referrals you have been sending my way, it seriously makes me smile to know how much you love what I do and want to share it with your friends!

I’d also like to say congratulations to all you newly engaged couples out there — If I haven’t gotten back to you yet about your wedding inquiry don’t worry you are next on the list after this blog post! We are about halfway full for 2010 but there are still some great dates available! Newborn Session | Findley Lake NY Photographer

After being out sick with the flu for over a week I finally got to get out and do some shooting! The first thing I photographed yesterday was sweet, little, newborn Sawyer! He is such a handsome little guy with so much adorable hair :)

Puppy Portrait and a Little Update

November 16th, 2009

Okay so I definitely didn’t get to post last week! We’ve been super busy and we also made a trip to New York City last week. I just wanted to update a little bit and let you know that we are hard at work and working on something really awesome for all Erie and Jamestown area wedding couples, stay tuned for more updates as we are able to release them!

Also, its not too late to get Christmas pictures done for either prints to be given as gifts or for Christmas/Holiday cards to send out. Another fun option is to send out Happy New Year cards.

And we will end this on an adorable picture captured earlier today — this is Millie, an English/Olde English bull dog puppy! There will probably be more of Millie’s portraits on the facebook page sometime this week.
